Raquel Welch has died at the age of 82.


She was widely remembered for playing a bikini-clad cavewoman in the 1966 film One Million Years B.C.

 Welch won a Golden Globe for her role in 1974's The Three Musketeers.

Born Jo-Raquel Tejada in 1940, Welch grew up in California and won teen beauty pageants.

 She modelled for Neiman Marcus and worked as a cocktail waitress before her big break in 1964.

Welch appeared in over 30 movies and 50 television shows in her career spanning over five decades.

She addressed her image in her memoir, Raquel: Beyond the Cleavage.

Reese Witherspoon and Viola Davis were among those paying tribute to Welch.

She leaves behind a son and a daughter, who is also an actress.
